Procedure:-

Test Series:-

IAS Prelims Syllabus

The UPSC Prelims syllabus can be divided into two parts:

  1. General Studies Paper I
  2. CSAT or General Studies Paper-II
General Studies Paper – I
  • Current events of national and international importance.
  • History of India and Indian National Movement.
  • Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
  • Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues,
  • Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives,
  • General issues on Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialisation
  • General Science
200 Marks 2 Hours
CSAT/ General Studies Paper-II

  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability

  • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) – Class X level)

Exam Pattern

Prelims:  It is the first stage of the exam process and consists of 2 papers, i.e., GS Paper 1 and CSAT.
